The Owner:
My name is Dawn, and I am the owner/founder of Sonder Laser Studios.
I am a one-woman operation.
I have a background in manufacturing and a curious mind. I am a busy mom to three, who, while moving to a new house AND navigating a global pandemic, began studying CorelDraw (design program) to prepare for my laser journey.
The manufacturing of my laser was completed in late 2021. I finally got to test the skills I had been working on while trying to survive all that life threw our way in 2020.
I ran my first design and everything lasered as I anticipated. SUCCESS! I could not wait to run anything and everything as I learned each material and process.
Since then, I’ve completed hundreds of projects ranging from simple keychains to large business signs to intricate recreations of local scenes.
It would be my honor to help bring your creative vision to life.

Sonder Laser Studios is a small, home-based business located in Buffalo, NY, specializing in CO2 laser cutting and engraving since 2021.
I have an 80-watt CO2 Epilog FusionEdge laser with a bed size of 24″L x 24″W x 10″ D.

The Name:
Sonder – (noun) the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.
I wanted to find a name that felt it would stand the test of time. I hunted for words with meaning that would resonate. One day, I came across the word Sonder and I knew I had found it.
As I pursued this dream, this passion, I never wanted to forget about the story behind each beautiful human I would get the chance to connect with and serve.
As I work to bring unique pieces that will be cherished for years to come, I want to celebrate the vivid and complex life each one of us is experiencing. I never want to forget about the story behind a person…their humanity. ❤️
